Ho Chi Minh City University of Education is pleased to announce enrollment for the Professional Development Program in ESOL. Detailed information is as follows:
- Eligibility
-University or junior college graduates majoring in English-related fields.
-Undergraduate students majoring in English Language.
-Applicants from other majors who hold an English certificate equivalent to Level 4 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam (CEFR B2 level).
- Career Opportunities
To teach English at language centers and other appropriate educational institutions.

- Application Process and Entry Test
-Requirement: Applicants must take an English proficiency test administered by the Department of English and must achieve a minimum score of 5 out of 10.
+ Eligible applicants: As stated in the Eligibility section above.
-Test components:
+Reading: 50 multiple-choice questions;
+Writing: A minimum 250-word essay in English on a given topic.
-Registration deadline: Before June 27, 2025.
-Test date: 8:00 AM, June 29, 2025 (Reading & Writing) – In-person format.
-Test venue: Room C.1009, 280 An Duong Vuong Street, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Course Duration and Mode of Study
-Schedule: Every Sunday from July 13, 2025 to October 12, 2025 (morning: 8:00–11:00, afternoon: 13:30–16:30).
- Total duration: 120 periods.
-Mode of Study: Blended (in-person and online learning).
- Tuition Fee
- Tuition Fee: VND 12,000,000/course (4 modules).
-Participants pay the tuitions via the university’s online payment portal: https://tracuu.hcmue.edu.vn/tesol
*Discounts:
-20% off for current students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
-25% off for groups of 3 or more applicants.
-Note: In cases where multiple discounts apply, only the highest one will be granted.
-Refund Policy: Only applicable if the applicant fails the entry test. The refund will deduct the entry test fee of VND 200,000.
- Certificate of Completion
Upon successfully completing all required modules, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for the “TESOL” professional development program, issued by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
